When the Student Health clinic is closed, call 813-974-2331 to speak with the Nurse Advice Line. The nurse can answer your health-related questions and help you to decide if you should seek immediate medical care at an Urgent Care or Emergency Room facility, wait to be seen at the Student Health clinic when it opens, or assist you with basic self-health care tips. The after-hours advice nurse is not located at Student Health so he/she cannot access your medical record at the time of the call.

The Nurse Advice Line is available only to registered students at the University of South Florida, Tampa campus, or those who have paid the current Health Fee.

  
 
There is no charge for talking to the after-hours nurse. If you choose to seek medical care outside of SHS, remember that you are responsible for the cost of that care. The pre-paid health fee does not cover emergency or urgent care services not treated at the clinic. If you have medical insurance coverage, check with your insurance company before seeking care to understand what it will cost you.
